Steve holds a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science and Management from the University of Rhode Island. He is a licensed Asbestos and Lead Inspector, Management Planner, Project Designer and Project Monitor in New York, Connecticut, Massachusetts and Pennsylvania. He is a licensed Radon Measurement Specialist with the National Radon Safety Board, is certified with ASTM to perform Environmental Site Assessments for commercial real estate transactions and has completed his certification for Mold Assessment, Remediation and Prevention with the AIHA. Steve is a LEED Accredited Professional with the US Green Building Certification Institute. He has also completed the Connecticut Remediation Standard Regulations course and the Expedited Site Assessment: A Three-Dimensional Approach course held by the Environmental Professionals of Connecticut. Steve is an experienced Geoprobe operator, having performed many UST inspections and Phase II/sub-surface investigations.
When he is not in the office, Steve is an avid skier and competitor with his beloved German Shepherd, Ruca. Steve sits on the Miller Driscoll Building Committee for Wilton Public Schools and volunteers in youth football leagues.
Eric has a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture and Drafting from the New York Institute of Technology and handles all CAD drawings for Big East Environmental. He is a licensed asbestos inspector, asbestos project monitor, lead inspector and Council-Certified Microbial Investigator, holding licenses in NY, CT and PA. He previously managed the design department for Omega Environmental and performed asbestos surveys, project design, variance requests, drafting and filing for New York State, New York City and New Jersey asbestos removal projects.
When he is not performing inspections, he can be found carving drinking horns and spending time with his wife and two children.
Joe has been in the environmental industry for 20 years, working with Big East Environmental for several years performing subsurface investigations, water testing, asbestos testing and project monitoring. He has extensive experience performing Phase I site assessments and limited Phase II/Subsurface investigations with Geoprobe. Joe has monitored many large-scale, long-term asbestos projects in both Connecticut and Massachusetts. He has experience analyzing samples for contaminants such as Petroleum Hydrocarbons, MTBE, PCBs and Heavy Metals and has repaired associated equipment. He has an Associate’s degree in Ecology and Environmental Technology from Paul Smith’s College and a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science from Sacred Heart University.
When he is not overseeing abatement, Joe can be found in his vintage bicycle shop, Shortbus Bicycles, or tending to his dogs Millie and Walter as well as his garden and chickens on his “suburban farm”.
Joseph has a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science from State University of New York College of Environmental Science and Forestry, focusing on Watershed Science. Joe is a licensed Asbestos Inspector and Project Monitor and performs groundwater and drinking water collection and analysis, soil testing and analysis and site monitoring at residences built near wetlands. He has experience with Phase I site assessments and limited Phase II/Subsurface investigations with Geoprobe, asbestos, lead, soil, water and mold investigations.
When he’s not collecting data, Joe can be found hitting homeruns for his baseball team, the Hudson Valley Yankees.
Erienne has a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Connecticut and has several years of experience in account management and sales roles. She is in charge of managing ATLAS – Big East Environmental’s in-house laboratory, preparing state and local bids, handling all Accounts Payables, Accounts Receivables and scheduling services.
When she is not in the office with her dog, Walter, Erienne can be found working on her home, climbing trees, SCUBA diving or riding her bicycle around town.
Nyron heads up our New York City and Philadelphia operations. Nyron is a licensed NYC DEP and Philadelphia Asbestos Investigator, NYS Mold Investigator, NYS & PA asbestos Inspector, NYS asbestos Project Monitor, and US EPA Lead Inspector and Supervisor. Nyron also performs site safety and OSHA compliance services and holds his OSHA 30hr & 40hr HAZWOPPER training certificate, confined space entry training, and scaffold training certificate. He graduated from Moneague Teachers College in Moneague, Jamaica. He has many years of experience performing lead and asbestos surveys for schools, financial institutions, and municipalities throughout New York and Pennsylvania.
